Wool Care Guide
Caring for your woollen accessory
Now you have one of our knits, we want your purchase to last as long as possible. Listed below are some tips on how to clean, store and look after your knitted garment.
Washing & Drying
- When washing please hand wash only. Do not wring or rub the knitting. Use a suitable detergent for wool.
- Once washed you can put it in a washing machine to spin the garment to get rid of any excess water.
- Lie out flat on a towel to dry, out of direct sunlight. Reshape gently. Please do not hang on a washing line or coat hanger. This can distort the wool and stretch out of shape.
- Please do not tumble dry any of your woollen items. This will cause them to shrink and felt.
Your knitted items are susceptible to moths. To avoid this ensure that any drawers where you are storing the garment are clean. Wash your garment before you put it away for the season, this will kill any larvae. Where possible keep your garment in an air tight container.
